Triton containers are designed to not only meet all international marine container regulations, but also to maximize container life and minimize ownership costs.

Attention to detail can be found throughout the Triton design. For example, Triton uses a special outset door that allows the door gaskets to be placed on the door edges away from the water runoff from the door surfaces. This avoids entrapment of water under the door gasket and the resulting corrosion. In addition, all gasket retainers and fasteners are made of corrosion-proof stainless steel. The entire door is painted prior to the installation of the door locking gear and all hardware attaching points are gasketed to prevent water entry and corrosion. Every detail of the Triton design has been studied and refined to reduce maintenance costs and maximize the container's life.

Construction Quality
Construction quality is monitored at the factory by Triton inspectors and engineers from the arrival of raw materials through to the completion and final inspection of every container manufactured.

The first line of defense against corrosion is the quality of the paint film. For this reason, Triton's inspectors pay special attention to paint preparation and application. Triton's surface preparation and painting requirements are the most rigid in the industry.

Maintenance and Repair Quality
Triton's equipment is managed by a team of technical experts for its entire life. Triton has a staff of maintenance and repair managers based in nine locations throughout the world. This staff oversees the maintenance and repair of all containers from the time they leave the factory until the time they are retired from the leasing fleet. All repairs are performed to meet the standards of the Institute of International Container Lessors and Triton's special standards for maintenance.
